SKOKIE, Ill., May 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AZEK®, the building industry's leading maker of technologically advanced and socially responsible paver alternatives, is featured at Traditional Home's first-ever New Orleans Showhouse. The house opened on May 18 for a black tie gala that benefited the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans. The brand's premium pavers are installed in the backyard, creating a path from the 15-room model home to the guest cottage. Visitors had the opportunity to visit the Showhouse during the Southern Style Now Festival – celebrating the best of both traditional and modern Southern design – from May 19 to May 22, and are able to schedule an open house tour through June 12.
AZEK Pavers were an obvious choice when designing the contemporary Showhouse. Where traditional landscape pavers are made from concrete or clay, the stylish and functional AZEK Pavers are made from up to 95 percent recycled materials, install easily using a patented grid system, and offer a surface that is highly durable and beautiful. The ease of installation, up to three times faster than traditional pavers, is a proven benefit for professional installers as well as do-it-yourselfers who may want to tackle a backyard improvement project.
"We are committed to developing AZEK products to uphold high standards for quality and versatility, and AZEK Pavers are no exception," said Jason Grommon, President of AZEK's parent company CPG Building Products. "They're easy to install, and can be customized to fit the unique look and feel of any home. We appreciate having the opportunity to be featured on the New Orleans Showhouse and to introduce our brand to a community that shares our passion for quality products and innovative design."
Design and décor enthusiasts can visit Traditional Home's Southern Style Now Showhouse in the heart of New Orleans' Uptown District at 7618 St. Charles Avenue.
"New Orleans is a unique destination where style and design are rooted in tradition, but designers aren't afraid to have a little fun and experiment," said Ann Omvig Maine, Traditional Home's editor-in-chief. "We're so excited to see what our talented friends have come up with to reflect their personal aesthetic and the flavors of the South."
Since its introduction in 2007, the manufacturing of environmentally responsible AZEK Pavers has diverted more than 25 million pounds of scrap tires and plastic containers from landfills.
