BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviron Pictures has announced the hiring of four executives to its marketing and corporate teams. Francois Martin has been tapped as EVP of Media Strategy and Content Distribution, effective immediately. He joins Jeff Elefterion, EVP of Creative Marketing, Louis Spoto, EVP of Business Affairs, and Julie Gasparich, Director of Field and Events, who all joined the company in recent months.
Martin will be responsible for designing data-driven media strategies and partnerships for releases across all platforms, in addition to handling TV sales for Aviron's growing slate of films. Martin joins Aviron from The Weinstein Company, where he oversaw media strategy, promotions and operations and also managed content sales for post-theatrical distribution. Martin has worked on a wide range of campaigns, including KILL BILL, CHICAGO, SPY KIDS, SCARY MOVIE, LEE DANIEL'S THE BUTLER, DJANGO UNCHAINED, PADDINGTON, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS, THE KING'S SPEECH, LION and WIND RIVER.
In his role as EVP of Creative Marketing, Elefterion spearheads the strategy and execution of all domestic theatrical and home entertainment creative marketing campaigns. Prior to joining Aviron, Elefterion ran domestic marketing at New Regency following his tenure at Miramax and The Weinstein Company, where he last served as head of creative advertising. Elefterion oversaw marketing campaigns for BIRDMAN, THE REVENANT and GONE GIRL and orchestrated the ad campaigns for THE ARTIST, THE KING'S SPEECH, PHILOMENA, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK, DJANGO UNCHAINED, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, THE BUTLER, SCARY MOVIE and SPY KIDS franchises, HALLOWEEN, SIN CITY and THE OTHERS. Over the course of his career, he's created Oscar campaigns for nine Best Picture nominees, including three winners.
Spoto comes to Aviron from the private law firm Loeb & Loeb. Spoto's duties include overseeing Aviron's business and legal affairs in connection with its acquisition, marketing, distribution and exploitation of film product. Spoto began his career at Manatt, Phelps and Columbia Pictures. He was previously EVP for Business Affairs at Scott Free Productions, and prior to that was SVP for Business Affairs at Triad Artists.
At Aviron, Gasparich heads up regional publicity and promotions, in addition to overseeing publicity stunts, premieres and special events. Gasparich is a veteran of Warner Bros. Pictures, where she spent more than 10 years in the Field Publicity department, working on titles such as MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, AMERICAN SNIPER, GRAVITY and ARGO, along with successful franchise titles including HARRY POTTER, THE CONJURING and LEGO.
