Audatex North America, Inc.'s AudaVIN Vehicle Identification Technology Gains Momentum With the Addition of More European Vehicle Brands
SAN DIEGO, Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Audatex North America, Inc., the leading global provider of software and services to the automobile insurance claims processing and collision repair industry, today announced the availability of Volkswagen and Audi vehicle makes for its AudaVIN vehicle identification technology solution. With Volkswagen and Audi as new OEM partners, Audatex now provides deep coverage across the European luxury vehicle market.
AudaVIN utilizes vehicle identification number (VIN) data to give insurance claim representatives, appraisers and collision repair estimators complete vehicle-specific information recorded by manufacturers on the production line. With more options and packages than most other automobiles, luxury vehicles can make the damage cost calculation or total loss valuation process more intensive and error prone. AudaVIN addresses these complexities, going beyond alternative VIN decode technologies in the market to provide accurate vehicle-specific information in seconds and deliver reductions in inspection time. More accurate damage costs and total loss valuations, along with improvements in first call settlement rates, are also achieved with AudaVIN.
"We've received excellent feedback from our customers about the benefits of AudaVIN. Insurance appraisers agree that the solution works as promised: the options and packages come up correctly as validated by vehicle owners, making for a faster, more efficient settlement process," said Patrick Schmidlin, Vice President of Product Management, Audatex North America. "We're very pleased to add additional vehicle makes to further extend coverage for our customers."
"At Audatex, our goal is to develop innovations that are profitable for our customers, and AudaVIN is making a tangible difference to our customers. By dramatically reducing the number of incorrectly-identified parts and options, AudaVIN can help save as much as several hundred dollars for each total loss claim," added Schmidlin.
Currently available in the U.S. and Canadian markets, AudaVIN supports Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Smart, Sprinter, Volkswagen and Audi, with additional OEM partnerships underway for release in 2012.
AudaVIN will be on display in the Audatex booth (#N503) at the International Autobody Congress & Expo (NACE), Oct. 6-8 in Orlando.
