At Home with Chianti: DaVinci® Wine Announces Fourth-Annual "Storyteller Experience" Inviting Creative Individuals to Experience Tuscany
Four Talented Storytellers Will Spend a Week Exploring the Home of Chianti
Applications accepted through May 31 to visit Vinci, Italy and help bring to life the people and place behind the home of DaVinci Wine
HEALDSBURG, Calif., April 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth consecutive year DaVinci Wine announces the launch of the Storyteller Experience, inviting creative individuals to apply to experience a week in Vinci, Italy, the home of Chianti, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci and home to and DaVinci Wine's thriving cooperative of over 200 growers.
Hosted on the popular DaVinci Wine Facebook page, the Storyteller Experience is designed to give creative types a once-in-a-lifetime look at the people and place behind the brand's distinguished wines in the beautiful Tuscan town of Vinci. Creative individuals ranging from chefs to photographers to artists to bloggers and more are strongly encouraged to apply for the chance to experience a week of world-class education, exploration and entertainment focused on all things Chianti.
For year four of the program, appropriately themed "At Home with Chianti," the four Storytellers will travel to the heart of Tuscany in late September during the height of the Chianti harvest. During and after the trip, the Storytellers will use their talents to tell the story of the home of Chianti and the people and place behind DaVinci Wine.
"Over the last three years we have been fortunate to have had twelve incredibly talented Storytellers visit Tuscany and share their experiences with us, and with all of DaVinci's fans on social media," said Courtney O'Brien, Marketing Director for DaVinci Wine. "We are thrilled to be sending four more Storytellers to Vinci this year and our hope is that the Storyteller Experience helps to continue to grow the popularity of Chianti in the US."
Applications will be judged in three areas: a personal essay, samples of work, and social media influence. DaVinci is looking for individuals who are not only talented in their chosen storytelling category, but also interested in wine and Italian culture and sharing their creativity and experience with others via social media. In late June, DaVinci will announce twelve Storyteller finalists who will go up for a public vote on the DaVinci Facebook page, with fan votes ultimately deciding the final four 2014 Storytellers.
The brand will cover the cost of air travel, hotel accommodations and meals while in Vinci for seven days. In turn, each Storyteller will express their experience using their creative medium. The resulting videos, recipes, stories, photography and/or art will be shared by the Storytellers as well as by the brand on the DaVinci website and DaVinci Facebook page.
Applications will be accepted through May 31 on the DaVinci Wine Facebook page. To apply and view the official terms and conditions, visit www.facebook.com/davinciwine.*
