WHY: Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Boston champions AdMeTech Foundation's Dance for a Cure and its mission to end the Prostate Cancer Crisis one step at a time. Prostate cancer is the most common major cancer in the United States and the second most lethal cancer in men. African American men are impacted disproportionately, with 250% higher mortality and 60% higher incidence. In spite of the magnitude of the prostate cancer epidemic, men do not have accurate diagnostic tools for early detection and treatment. The impact is staggering. Even though prostate cancer is curable when detected early, over 30,000 men died in 2011.
