Cox will join Arrowhead at the Health & Fitness Expo on May 31 and June 1 at the San Diego Convention Center in downtown San Diego. Cox, the American record holder in the 50K, four-time U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier and three-time U.S. National Team member, will be at the Arrowhead booth inspiring consumers with his personal stories and sharing his hydration tips and expert training advice to arm runners with the information to help them perform at their best from training, to race day, through recovery. Cox will also invite runners to consider their own personal stories by encouraging participants at the Expo to share their stories of personal betterment on running bibs at the Arrowhead booth, to serve as inspiration for Sunday's race.
Since Rock 'n' Roll San Diego was Cox's debut Marathon in 1999, he's familiar with the course and the necessity of consistent hydration through each mile marker. "The key to the San Diego course is to stay in control on the downhills and stick to your pace – the focus should be on running an even effort," says Cox. "Hydration along the course is essential for all athletes, especially for those striving to perform at their best and Arrowhead is an important part of my workout routine when I'm training in California.
