GLENDALE, Ariz., May 18, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On May 24, 120 high school seniors will meet in person at Arizona Virtual Academy's (AZVA) graduation ceremony to celebrate their high school achievements.
Graduating seniors come from diverse backgrounds but all found AZVA, a tuition-free, online public school, to be the solution to reaching their academic goals. The online curriculum is rigorous and engaging and includes courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as over 160 elective and Advanced Placement® courses for high school students.
"My time with AZVA has certainly fostered my personal success," said AZVA valedictorian Sarah Negovan. "It has taken my literal Internet 'connection' and transformed it into a vast sea of new educational experiences, pathways to self-discovery, and secure bonds with teachers and students alike - all of which I believe will truly last a lifetime."
Students in grades K-12 at AZVA are able to learn in the ways that are right for them. Both college and career-minded students can choose from a broad range of profession-focused courses in order to gain a competitive edge for the future, discover their path after high school or explore a possible college major.
Students are also provided the opportunity to earn concurrent enrollment credit, meaning they can earn college credit while still enrolled in high school, at no cost to the family, as long as the student meets the eligibility criteria.
