Apex Learning Once Again Listed Among Top Providers in California
The California Learning Resource Network released its 2014 e-Learning survey that tracks virtual and blended learning trends throughout the state
SEATTLE, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The California Learning Resource Network (CLRN), a statewide education technology service of the California Department of Education, recently published the results of its 2014 e-Learning Survey. The census is administered to better understand how virtual and blended learning are evolving in California. Apex Learning was once again listed as one of the top providers of digital curriculum for the State of California.
CLRN distributed the survey to 1,014 California public school districts and 796 charter schools. The survey found that the number of students participating in both virtual and blended learning in the 2013–2014 school year increased 39 percent over the prior year.
The number of students in blended learning increased 49 percent since the 2012–2013 school year and 74 percent since 2011–2012. The three-year trend lines show that e-Learning adoption is broadening across a greater percentage of schools and that the number of participating students at each school is steadily rising.
"We are honored to partner with school districts throughout the State of California to provide effective solutions for students," said Cheryl Vedoe, the CEO of Apex Learning. "The census reinforces that districts are seeing the value of digital curriculum to increase student outcomes."
