NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® (Guardian) today announced that Andrew J. McMahon will join the company as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Customer Development. This newly created role strengthens Guardian's commitment to a wholistic customer-focused approach across all its business lines.
McMahon will be responsible for developing enterprise strategy, corporate development and advancing digital customer experience. He will be a member of the company's Executive Leadership Team and report to Deanna Mulligan, Guardian's President and Chief Executive Officer.

McMahon is an insurance industry veteran, formerly President and board member of AXA US. Prior to his AXA tenure, he was a partner at McKinsey. McMahon began his career at General Electric and worked in a variety of functions across several operating businesses. During the past four years, he has invested, launched and advised several InsureTech companies, including recently having been granted a patent for an approach using AI for financial risk assessment and insurance underwriting.

He is an executive advisor to Gryphon Investors and a member of the board of trustees for Fairfield University. He received his MBA from Columbia University and BS in computer science from Fairfield University.
