Taking place on the waterfront at the Newport Yachting Center, the Knorr Great Chowder Cook-Off features some of the nation's best recipes with over 25 chefs traveling from restaurants across the country to showcase their variation of the New England staple, chowder.

Kicking off on Friday, June 3rd with a VIP party to honor event sponsors, competing restaurants, press and local celebrities, the Great Chowder Cook-Off is host to over 10,000 New England residents and visitors looking to sample the finest chowder that the country has to offer. The actual contest will take place on Saturday, June 4th from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m., with the always popular Amstel Light Beer Bike again serving as one of the event's main attractions. Adult attendees will have the chance to enjoy a full-flavored Amstel Light to compliment their chowder as a draught bar will be stationed at the Amstel Light Beer Bike. Patrons will also have the opportunity to have their photos taken using the Amstel Light camera, with images automatically uploaded to their Facebook accounts to help commemorate the event.
