A number of brands are working in partnership with Ampsy to refine the app through a pilot program, including CrowdSurf, a premier digital agency whose clients include Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea, Ellie Goulding, Christina Perri and many more. Ampsy is also working with Epic Rights, a full service, global branding, marketing and rights management company whose clients include AC/DC, Aerosmith, Billy Joel, Def Leppard, CBGB and many more iconic bands & artists.
Ampsy offers brands live event media aggregation "as a service" through its proprietary media geofencing engine. The company's AmpElite analytics platform powered by Watson is based on three Watson APIs - Personality Insights, Sentiment Analysis and Keyword Extraction. With the addition of Watson cognitive capabilities, this solution brings sophisticated, actionable data to clients in order to monitor fans' reactions across multiple social channels in a single, integrated view during live events to improve decision making around shows, merchandise, and other marketing initiatives. This app enables clients to further refine their fan engagement in a more targeted, personalized way.
"Combining Ampsy's geofencing capabilities with their new AmpElite analytics powered by Watson has enabled us to identify super fans at live shows, engage with them in real-time or post-show, and micro-market to them on a level we've never seen before," said Jesper Poulsen, VP of Artist & Brand Development at Epic Rights. "Additionally, using the Watson sentiment analysis and personality insights tools now available to us, we're able to gauge how fans feel about specific merchandise and determine likelihood of an individual fan's intent to purchase various designs and styles."
"Brands use our tools to aggregate, curate and display amazing social content shared at their live events," said Jeremy Gocke, Founder and CEO of Ampsy. "The next logical step is to give them sophisticated analytics and reporting capabilities around that content and insights on the fans sharing it. IBM Watson's cognitive learning APIs perfectly complement our tools and have brought granular, actionable data to our clients through fan sentiment analysis and personality insights."
Ampsy has powered campaigns for some of the most recognizable brands and personalities in the world such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, American Idol Tour, Britney Spears, Maria Sharapova, and AC/DC. Although Ampsy's initial focus is on the $200B live events industry, the company believes any brand or organization interested in hyperlocal content aggregation and sentiment analysis would benefit from its AmpElite analytics app powered by Watson.
Other pilot partners involved in the private beta include:
- Lippman Entertainment – a leading artist development and marketing company whose clients include George Michael, Matchbox Twenty, and Rob Thomas.
- McGhee Entertainment – a legendary, full service entertainment and marketing company whose clients include KISS, Darius Rucker and Hootie & The Blowfish.
- Rally America -- the premier performance Rally Car Championship in the United States, whose competitors include David Higgins, Travis Pastrana, Ken Block, John Buffum and many other high profile extreme sports athletes.
- Rock & Brews -- an energized dining and entertainment concept offering affordable, high quality American comfort food and a broad selection of international and craft brews, while immersing guests in a family-friendly rock 'n' roll experience unlike any other.
Thousands of brands from industries like fashion and apparel, hospitality, restaurants, retail and lifestyle have already signed up at www.ampsy.com for priority access to AmpElite, which will officially launch in November. Any brand that signs up for a free or paid Ampsy plan prior to October 15 will be considered for priority access to AmpElite.
