AmericaSpeaks Presents Findings to National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform
DALLAS, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Last Saturday, June 26th, 2010, when nineteen panels were meeting across the country to examine the choices facing us about the federal budget; the Iowa Republicans convened in Des Moines. While there were many issues on the table at the Republican Convention, the overwhelming consensus among attendees was the concern over the country's finances and economic base.
"Today as AmericaSpeaks presents their findings to the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, I want to take a moment to thank all of the people that came out to the Iowa Republican Convention and expressed to us their concerns about the federal budget. At Strong America Now, we want to invite all of those citizens who are seriously concerned about the U.S. economic and financial future to join us as advocates. I have discovered the hardest part about this financial approach is getting people to believe we can actually do it," said Mike George, Founder of Strong America Now.
At the Iowa Republican Convention, citizens were seizing the opportunity to get informed about financial reform practices that bring fiscal savings, currently underway at the U.S. Army and Navy. The approach is called the Lean Six Sigma and while the name is unimportant, what is important is that it works. When this approach is extrapolated across the government it saves a whopping $1.5 trillion annually without raising taxes. This is sufficient enough to eliminate the deficit and return the country to sound financial practices, which ultimately allows us to ensure the American way of life.
Scott O'Grady, Deputy Director of Strong America Now was on hand to speak at the Convention as well. "The number one priority right now is teamwork. The issue of financial reform cannot be accomplished alone. It is not a Republican or a Democrat issue, it is everybody's issue. I want to thank those of you who were at the Convention last week and took the time to come by our booth. We heard across the board that virtually 100 percent of the attendees agreed on the need to get the country's finances in shape – tackle the deficit, cut spending, balance the budget. We invite everyone to visit Strong America Now.com to learn more about our organization and how we can make a difference in this country's financial reform," said O'Grady.
Strong America Now is a grass roots advocacy organization dedicated to enlisting citizens and explaining how financial spending can be reduced, the deficit eliminated and the budget balanced. Strong America Now believes they have the only proven method that will work across the aisle. The federal budget is not a Republican or Democrat issue, it is an American issue.
