American Youth Football Tackles Communication Challenges with RainedOut Text Alerts
AYF using RainedOut to connect over 600,000 members and will implement during their annual national championship games this December
LEESBURG, Va., Nov. 23, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnilert®, LLC, maker of RainedOut™, the leading provider of event and group communications, announced today the partnership with American Youth Football (AYF) to power their 600,000+ members, along with their national championship games, with RainedOut's FREE+ text alerts system.
"RainedOut will be vital to communicate important event information to all of our participants and fans while in Orlando, Florida for the 2010 national championships next month," said Jessica Abramovich, AYF executive director.
"The American Youth Football National Championships are one of the largest football events in the world, with over 156 teams competing over the course of 6 days, and an additional 120 cheer squads competing for a title. With an expected 15,000 in attendance we'll need to keep everyone informed, and RainedOut's FREE+ system is the best way to communicate whatever message we need to relay."
The FREE+ fundraising program of RainedOut enables both the AYF organization and all of its teams to raise money using the free service. Members that find sponsors for their respective teams' messages, through local businesses in their communities, will earn a portion of advertising revenue with every message sent.
All 600,000 AYF members and their teams are encouraged to utilize the RainedOut service for better team communication. The FREE+ service empowers a single person with a standard cell phone to broadcast a message to large groups of people. RainedOut simultaneously delivers the message on the communication channel most relevant to each recipient at the time of the alert – as a text message, email, web page update, or social networking post.
"We are pleased to work with AYF to extend their communications capabilities," said Jim Fitzmaurice, director of user development for RainedOut. "Our team takes great pride in making life easier for our subscribers and organizations, and look forward to helping the AYF and its more than 600,000 participants."
