American Gives Exclusive Dynamic Air Award Options to Elite AAdvantage Members
New Flight Redemption Options Offer More Flexibility When Booking Award Travel
FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines today gives AAdvantage® elite status members more opportunities to make the most of their frequent flyer miles by introducing Dynamic Air(SM) awards. The new awards give AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Gold® members the exclusive ability to book any Economy Class seat for travel within the U.S. mainland for fewer miles than what's required for an AAnytime® award and, in some cases, fewer miles than what's required for a MileSAAver® award – providing customers more options and flexibility when redeeming miles for travel.
As part of the continued celebration of the AAdvantage program's 30th anniversary, American Airlines has partnered with travel software provider ezRez to introduce Dynamic Air awards. This product, which is part of the airline's ongoing efforts to maximize the benefits for its most loyal customers, will be offered to elite status members in addition to MileSAAver and AAnytime awards. The amount of miles required is based on published ticket prices, so redemption rates for these awards will vary as fares vary. In addition, Dynamic Air awards have no blackout dates, booking fees or inventory restrictions.
"Our elite AAdvantage members work hard to earn their miles and Dynamic Air awards give them freedom to do more with those miles," said Maya Leibman, President – AAdvantage Loyalty Program. "AAdvantage members always tell us how we can improve the program to better fit their needs, and new offerings like this are our way of showing them, 'We're listening.'"
AAdvantage elite status members can learn more and book award flights using Dynamic Air awards by visiting AA.com/DynamicAirAwards.
