American Airlines Launches New Frequent Flyer Agreement With India's Kingfisher Airlines
FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines has launched a frequent flyer agreement with oneworld® member-elect Kingfisher Airlines, allowing members of each airline's loyalty program to earn and redeem miles on each other's network. With more than 380 daily departures, Kingfisher is India's leading air carrier based on passengers boarded, customer service and innovation.
Under this new agreement, American Airlines AAdvantage® members can earn and redeem miles for travel on all Kingfisher flights within India, and between India and Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Kingfisher King Club members can now earn King Miles on all American Airlines flights throughout Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
The frequent flyer agreement with Kingfisher, India's only five-star airline, will significantly expand American's network in the region, providing more choices and better connections for American's customers traveling between the U.S. and India. American offers nonstop service to India from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) to Delhi Indira Gandhi (DEL).

The Indian carrier is expected to officially join oneworld in early 2012. With the addition of Kingfisher, oneworld will significantly expand its route network and its ability to offer more services and benefits to customers. Kingfisher's addition will expand oneworld's network to 800 destinations in almost 150 countries, further solidifying oneworld's standing as the premier global alliance.
