NORTHBROOK, Ill., Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- With more than half of millennials planning to drive two hours or more to their Thanksgiving destination this year1, Allstate, a leader in roadside assistance for more than 50 years, wants to reduce the stress just in case someone faces a breakdown. On November 23 (the day before Thanksgiving), Allstate is offering $2 roadside rescues exclusively via the Good Hands Rescue® app or mobile website for anyone experiencing a roadside emergency such as a flat tire, dead battery, lockout, running out of fuel or tow.2 You don't have to be an Allstate customer to enjoy this benefit.
"Approaching one of the busiest travel days of the year, we are excited for the ways the Good Hands Rescue® app can help keep people protected and on the go when it matters the most. We want to help drivers get to their holiday destinations efficiently and safely, and at almost no cost," said Pam Dufour, Allstate Roadside Services president. "Whether you have roadside coverage or not, the Good Hands Rescue® app is available at your fingertips if you find yourself in the middle of a roadside emergency. It's a great way to give younger drivers and others the convenience that comes with a mobile app."
Goods Hands Rescue is an on-demand, pay-per-use roadside assistance service accessible both online and via the app that helps drivers get roadside assistance fast if they have car trouble on the road. You don't have to be an Allstate customer to use it.
Millennials Behind the Wheel – Convenient Roadside Service
According to a new Allstate survey, half of all millennials have had a roadside incident within the last year, yet 75 percent have never changed a tire on their current vehicle.3 With the top three roadside incidents for this generation being tire changes, vehicle tows and dead batteries4, Good Hands Rescue takes away the guesswork of who to contact when faced with a roadside emergency, and gets help to drivers in need quickly and easily. Here's how it works:
- No Membership Fees and No Policy Required: People can pay per use and the Good Hands Rescue® service can be used by anyone, not just Allstate customers.
- Stranded, Not Alone: The Good Hands Rescue® service uses GPS technology to connect any driver in need with a dispatched service provider, relieving drivers from describing their location and generating transparency into the estimated time of arrival.
- Service Peace of Mind: As soon as help is dispatched, motorists can receive a service confirmation with the roadside provider's estimated time of arrival and can track the provider's en route status.
Allstate's Good Hands Rescue® service is available as an app for free (download from the Apple Store or Google Play Store), or via the mobile website at m.GoodHandsRescue.com.
