Allstate to Unveil Rick Fairless Custom 2016 Polaris Slingshot at Daytona Bike Week
Custom Slingshot is grand prize for seventh annual Allstate Motorcycle Sweepstakes
NORTHBROOK, Ill., March 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate Insurance Company and legendary motorcycle designer Rick Fairless will reveal a special Fairless-designed 2016 Polaris Slingshot at Daytona Bike Week's 75th anniversary on Friday, March 4. The Slingshot, customized and painted by Fairless and his Strokers Dallas shop, will serve as this year's grand prize for the seventh annual Allstate Motorcycle Sweepstakes.
The Slingshot will make its debut at the Allstate Rider Protection Zone, located at Daytona Speedway. Riders in the area will have the opportunity to see the unique design of the Slingshot firsthand, and will also be able to enter for their chance to win it. Fairless will also be on-hand March 4 and 5 to sign autographs, take pictures, and discuss his newest custom bike with fellow riders.
Not only is it the 75th anniversary of Daytona Bike Week, but it is also the 50th anniversary of Allstate Motorcycle insurance. Allstate has agents across the country who are dedicated to the company's mission of keeping riders riding. The Allstate Motorcycle Sweepstakes is just one more example of the company's presence in the motorcycle community.
"Allstate is proud to once again collaborate with one of the best in the business, Rick Fairless," said Pam Hollander, vice president of marketing for Allstate Insurance Company. "We've been insuring motorcycles for 50 years, and what better way to help celebrate that milestone than by unveiling one of our most unique custom bikes to-date."
The one-of-a-kind Slingshot will feature custom-designed seats by ASM Upholstery and a unique patriotic paint job. Notable features also include a GM 2.4 liter DOHC engine, a 5-speed tranny, LED taillights and projectors, and ABS disc brakes. The creative theme for this year's bike came from none other than Fairless himself.
"I look forward to working with Allstate on their sweepstakes bike every year, but since it's the 75th anniversary of Daytona Bike Week and the 50th anniversary of Allstate Motorcycle insurance, we knew we had to do something big," Fairless said. "How much bigger can you get than a Polaris Slingshot? I decided to pay tribute to our great country with this year's design, and I think riders are really going to dig it."
After the unveiling, the Polaris Slingshot will be on display at the Allstate Rider Protection Zone, where riders can enter the sweepstakes for their chance to win. The Allstate Rider Protection Zone will be making stops at the following rallies:
