Albolene Reveals That 81 Percent Of Makeup Wearers Are Frustrated With The Removal Process
New survey indicates that women think taking off their makeup is annoying, not always effective and takes too much time
TREVOSE, Pa., Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The majority of women (83%) ages 18-54 in the United States wear makeup, yet a new survey by Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser revealed that almost this entire population (81%) has complaints about their makeup removal process, with close to two-thirds (62%) admitting that it's just downright frustrating.

Additional findings of the survey, conducted by Nielsen, reveal that women would rather do other hygiene-related activities than remove their makeup because it's so cumbersome: almost half (49%) of women say it's faster to shower than remove their makeup and more than 1 in 3 (37%) say they would rather brush their teeth twice in a row than remove their makeup.
Also proving that women are unsatisfied with the process is that virtually half (46%) say their biggest complaint is that their current makeup remover does not effectively remove all of their makeup and (49%) say it's easier to just not take it off at all.
"It's imperative to remove makeup at night to keep skin healthy, as it's proven that wearing makeup to bed can cause issues such as acne, " said Moyer. "Albolene makes the removal process incredibly easy. You just smooth it on and remove with a tissue – you don't even need soap and water."
Women are also frustrated with the amount of product necessary to remove all of their makeup. Close to two in five (37%) say that they go through extra remover, toilettes or pads in order to completely remove it all. The frustrations don't end there: close to one-third of women indicate that removing their makeup also dries out their skin (27%).
