RFI, an award-winning, full-service digital agency established in the U.S. in 1999, was incorporated into Ruder Finn China in 2013, to service the growing social media needs in the region. Alan will oversee RFI offices in Beijing and Shanghai as well as being involved in regional collaboration with the rest of the Ruder Finn network. She will be responsible for developing digital marketing and communication solutions with a combination of technology and content and a strong focus on creative story telling. Alan will also be responsible for attracting and nurturing the right talents by making RFI China a strong platform for young consultants to develop their careers. She will report to Elan Shou, Executive VP and Managing Director of Ruder Finn Greater China.
Alan is a public relations and communications veteran with 15-years of experience, both agency and in-house, across all marketing communications functions in a range of industries, specializing in strategic marketing and communication, stakeholder engagement, digital communication and CSR. Alan began her PR career in the Technology Practice at Weber Shandwick and Edelman, then moved in-house as the Marketing Manager for both the British Standards Institution Greater China and Motorola's Enterprise Mobility Business, Greater China, where she was responsible for the organization's overall marketing communication and business development strategy. This opened the door for her to take on a role as Marketing Head at King and Wood Mallesons, one of the world's leading law firms, where she was in charge of business development as well as marketing communications. Subsequently, Alan decided to return to the agency world, and rejoined Edelman as the Technology Practice Head in 2014.
