Akumina Appoints Microsoft Enterprise Sales GM, Sanket Akerkar, to Board
NASHUA, N.H., Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Akumina today announced it has appointed Sanket Akerkar to its board of directors. Akumina manufactures InterChange, a software platform built using SharePoint-as-a-Service which allows businesses to realize the full promise of SharePoint for intranet, portals and web sites. Akerkar currently is the General Manager - Sales Excellence, Worldwide Enterprise and Partner Group at Microsoft. In his role on the board, Akerkar will provide strategic sales and go to market guidance as well as aide in the development of a worldwide partner channel for InterChange.
For the past 12 years, Akerkar has held several senior sales and marketing positions at Microsoft. In these positions his responsibilities include growing the direct sales and marketing operations, driving strategic partnerships and alliances with global platform partners, channel partners, OEMs, and the system builder community. Akumina will benefit from the best practices advice Akerkar will be able to offer based on this extensive experience.
