AKA, an Innovative Luxury Brand of Serviced Residences, to Open AKA Beverly Hills in Fall 2012
First West Coast Property for Growing Brand that Offers Privacy, Space and Lifestyle to Celebrities and Others in Need of Temporary Residences
LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AKA, an innovative luxury brand of serviced residences, is bringing its fully furnished and high-design suite living for stays of 30 days or more to Los Angeles this Fall. AKA Beverly Hills, located at 155 North Crescent Drive at Wilshire Boulevard, will cater to celebrities, upscale consumers and affluent international travelers who have come to depend on the growing and visionary brand for a home away from home. Being only a few of blocks from Rodeo Drive, residents will have access to some of the most upscale shopping venues on the West Coast.
"AKA Beverly Hills will be a study in contemporary living," said Larry Korman, co-CEO with brother, Brad Korman. LA-based Koning Eizenberg alongside Asfour Guzy Architects, are transforming an existing rental building into 88 stylish and fully furnished one- and two-bedroom suites and townhouses, a first for AKA, ranging in size from 850 to 1,810 square feet. Internationally recognized Pamela Burton & Company Landscape Architects, in conjunction with Oculus Light Studio and AKA, is creating a very special landscaped residents-only elevated terrace with a view of the famed Hollywood sign. AKA Beverly Hills will feature a fitness center as well as other AKA signature services and amenities.
Rates at AKA Beverly Hills will start at approximately $325 per night for suites and $650 per night for penthouse accommodations, based on a 30-day stay. The spacious accommodations offer the privacy of a luxury residence infused with hotel services. Given that luxury hotels in Beverly Hills charge from about $500 per night for a room, and from about $1,100 per night for a suite, AKA Beverly Hills offers outstanding value. It is AKA's personalized resident services, outstanding locations, spacious suites and fair rates that make AKA very appealing to travelers who are looking for long stay comfort.
Long-stay travelers can rest comfortably inside AKA's suite-style residences and enjoy amenities and services including dedicated concierge and doorman; meticulous housekeeping; exceptional fitness services; advanced business and media services with complimentary high-speed Internet access; en-suite dining; and same-day, valet dry-cleaning and laundry service.
"As the luxury leader in serviced residences, we look for properties in world-class cities," said Larry Korman. "Expanding to Los Angeles was the logical, next step, and the Beverly Hills property was a perfect addition to our expanding portfolio."
In early Fall, Steve Korman, Founder of Korman Communities, will cross the Atlantic to open AKA West End in London's posh Marylebone, bringing the brand to nine properties: New York (4), Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Arlington, VA, Los Angeles and London. The ambitious Kormans plan to add six-to-ten properties over the next three-to-five years.
