AEG Facilities And Pogoseat Bring World-Renowned Artists And Fans Closer Together With Launch Of Real-Time Seat And VIP Upgrades At Concerts
AEG Facilities' Target Center and Valley View Casino Center Will Debut Upgrade Technology for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and James Taylor Concerts
LOS ANGELES, June 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AEG, the world's leading sports and live entertainment company, has integrated Pogoseat's mobile seat and VIP upgrade technology at select concerts and/or live events at AEG Facilities' owned and/or managed venues. The Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California, and Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will be the first venues to offer upgrades for their live events, launching at Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on June 8th and James Taylor on June 18th, respectively. The integration is part of Pogoseat's partnership with AEG, which uses the technology across a variety of other assets.
Initially, the Pogoseat upgrades will be available at select Valley View Casino Center and Target Center concerts and live events. Additional U.S. and international AEG Facilities' owned and/or managed venues are expected to begin offering upgrade technology shortly thereafter. This is the first time the Pogoseat seat and VIP upgrade technology have been used for concerts.
"The Pogoseat technology gives each and every fan the ability to maximize their live-event experience," said Evan Owens, CEO, Pogoseat. "Music is a great way to bring people together, and our integration with the AXS Mobile Ticketing App is a great next step in our partnership with AEG – now bridging sports, venues and music."
Fans who want to upgrade their seats can use the AXS Mobile App to see upgrade options before and during select events at the participating venues. By clicking the "Seat Upgrade" link in the AXS Mobile App, they will be able to select the events they are attending and choose the tickets that they want to upgrade. Once the new tickets are selected and the upgrade purchase is complete, they will receive their new tickets on their phone and can conveniently move to their new seats. A credit for the price of the original seat automatically goes toward the purchase of the upgraded seats.
"We are passionate about making a fan's experience the best it can be and are continually looking for new ways to add value to our loyal partners and customers" said Steve Mattson, Vice President/General Manager, Target Center. "Pogoseat's incredible technology helps us bring this vision to life in new and dynamic ways and we are looking forward to implementing this enhancement into the venue."
Fans, venue operators, artists and touring companies alike will gain from the introduction of real-time seat upgrades at AEG Facilities' venues. In addition to monetizing valuable unused inventory and collecting important data and analytics, artists will be able to use the platform to offer their fans VIP experiences. VIP experiences, which will debut at the Macklemore & Ryan Lewis show at Target Center, will be customizable to each artist and/or venue and can range from exclusive autographed merchandise to once- in-a-lifetime meet-and-greet opportunities with the artist and/or other specially curated experiences and items.
