ADP Human Capital Management Solutions Enhance HSM Reporting and Efficiency
ADP Solutions Help Streamline HR, Payroll Systems and Benefits Offerings
ROSELAND, N.J., Aug. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that HSM, the new name of Hickory Springs -- a global manufacturer of integrated solutions and components for transportation, furniture, bedding, and other diversified markets -- has completed the implementation of nine ADP Human Capital Management and tax solutions to help increase companywide efficiencies, compliance and employee satisfaction.
Originally founded in 1944 as Hickory Springs Manufacturing and based in Hickory, N.C., HSM is a privately-held diversified manufacturer with 2,500 employees in more than 50 manufacturing plants in 17 states in the United States and China.
ADP is providing HSM with a comprehensive, integrated solution designed to further enhance the company's payroll, HR and benefits systems, and empower HSM employees to make more informed healthcare and retirement decisions. These solutions include payroll, health and welfare benefits, time and labor management, and tax and credit services.
"As a large, global company with numerous business lines, we wanted to improve how we manage business reporting, analytics, time management recordkeeping, paper statements and benefits communication," said Joanna Viola, director of reporting and compliance and assistant treasurer, HSM. "We looked to ADP to help guide the introduction of automation and boost responsive and timely customer service. In the end, ADP fit the bill as an outsourcing partner that could grow with us as a company by providing highly integrated systems to enhance the efficiencies and productivity of our overall HR function."
ADP's tools and technologies are being implemented to help enhance HSM's ability to extract and analyze data throughout its enterprise. Employees now have improved flexibility to view their HR and benefits information through the new employer self-service benefit offering, while HSM has improved access to employee data and wellness program tracking. HSM already has benefited from the ability of ADP's HCM technology to identify gaps in care within its diabetes health risk program and award premium savings to employees who have completed a health-risk assessment.
"We found the transition to ADP's payroll and HR tools an enormous time saver in supporting our HR team in assessing and tracking our employee data, especially for the large undertaking of open enrollment," said Tim T. Isenhower, Group Health and Workers Compensation Manager, HSM. "We are also finding ADP's HCM solutions incredibly helpful for processing employee benefit deductions and its self-service options intuitive for our employees to view their payroll, benefits and retirement information."
"ADP has been working closely with HSM to help the company further automate key HR processes and streamline its reporting by leveraging more robust analytics," said Don Weinstein, senior vice president of Product Management at ADP. "It has been gratifying to hear that HSM already is achieving noticeable improvements in executing core HR functions such as payroll processing, and is now able to more easily access and take action on enterprisewide HR, payroll and benefits information."
