50th Anniversary of National Small Business Week Closes with Two-Day Event which includes Free Workshops and Sessions to Help D.C.-Based Small Businesses Prosper
ROSELAND, N.J., June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ADP® announced today it is co-sponsoring U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) two-day event in Washington D.C. to close National Small Business Week (NSBW). The event, which is held at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel, commemorates the 50th anniversary of National Small Business Week by honoring the outstanding contributions of local entrepreneurs, small business owners and other industry leaders.
As part of the event, ADP will participate in a free panel discussion to help small business owners better understand and prepare for upcoming Affordable Care Act mandates. Panelists include representatives of SBA, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Proskauer Rose. Representatives from ADP, including Pete Isberg, Vice President of Government Affairs, Robyn Crosson, Senior Counsel, and Jennifer Tingle, Vice President and Counsel will also contribute to the panel discussion.

The SBA established National Small Business Week in 1963, and this year's celebration marked the first time that it featured events in Seattle (June 17), Dallas (June 18), St. Louis (June 19), Pittsburgh (June 20) and Washington, D.C. (June 20-21). ADP subject matter experts have been on hand to help small business owners understand the implications of the Affordable Care Act as part of panel discussions in Dallas and St. Louis. The week will conclude in Washington, D.C., where ADP will lead a special session on preparing for the Affordable Care Act and understanding its implications for small businesses.
