Adam Chandler Joins Martini Media as Head of Sales
NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Martini Media announced today that Adam Chandler has joined the company as Head of Sales, where he will grow and lead the sales team and play a key role in positioning Martini as the premier source of media solutions for advertisers looking to reach the affluent audience. Adam joins Martini with deep experience and expertise in the digital media space, most recently from PointRoll, a Gannet company. Prior to that, he headed sales for Yahoo's Partnerships and Emerging Markets division.
"I was attracted to Martini as a strong and differentiated solution in the chaotic display ad space," Chandler says. "The most affluent, influential top-25% of consumers will become increasingly interesting as sophisticated platforms like Martini combine media and audience expertise to unlock ROI for advertisers trying to keep up with rapidly growing engagement online. I look forward to bringing this solution to marketers worldwide, and expect to continue Martini's revenue growth on its exceptional trajectory."
As part of its strategy to develop the company into a major player in the global ad marketplace, Skip Brand and Martini board member Greg Coleman, president and chief revenue officer of the Huffington Post, have tapped several former Yahoos to fill operational and advisory positions.
"Adam is the ideal hire to build out our global ad sales business," says Brand. "He has proven himself as a thought leader in this business and an exceptionally effective deal-maker. Adam's deep experience creating new business opportunities will position us for rapid growth and market leadership. Equally important, Adam is the right guy to mentor and coach our growing team."
Adam spent 8 years as Executive Director of Sales for Yahoo's Partnerships and Emerging Markets, overseeing the national sales team and generating a 9-figure revenue stream through Yahoo's display advertising partnerships. During his tenure, Adam shepherded Yahoo's expansion into the US Hispanic market, firmly establishing the company as a dominant player in that space. In addition, he developed partnerships with A-list brands such as eBay, AT&T, Wal-Mart, Comcast, Verizon, Forbes, CNET, and NBC/Telemundo. Adam has also held sales and business development positions at About.com and NBC.
