Actors, Athletes, and Comedians Bare Their Souls to Team Up With 50Kshoes.com 'Celebrity Charity Challenge' to Benefit Soles4Souls® Inc.
Video Hopes to Motivate People to Donate Funds for New Shoes
NASHVILLE, Tenn. and LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Actors, athletes, and comedians bare their souls to team up with 50Kshoes.com "Celebrity Charity Challenge" to benefit Soles4Souls, the international shoe charity dedicated to providing free footwear to those in desperate need. Celebrities (listed in alphabetical order) include Lance Bass, Ahmed Best, Kristin Chenoweth, CaCee Cobb, Mark Cuban, Seth Green, Bradie James, Kim Kardashian, Jason Kidd, Mike Madono, Ken Paves, Warren Sapp, Jessica Simpson and Geoff Stults. To date, Soles4Souls has donated over 1.5 million pairs of new shoes to the victims of the recent devastations in Haiti and Pakistan.
Donating is easy and takes less than two minutes at www.50Kshoes.com . It requires no shipping, no wrapping and no trips to the post office. The suggested donation is very affordable, with $5.00 buying five pairs of new shoes. The challenge ends on September 12, 2010 and all donations are tax-deductible.
Zach Braff and Donald Faison hosted the first 50Kshoes.com "Celebrity Charity Challenge." The actors created a video (full of their unique brand of humor, of course) to drive viewers to the website and donate to Soles4Souls. Additional 50Kshoes.com celebrity supporters have included Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Ken Paves, CaCee Cobb and Wanda Sykes. Driven through the interactive social media sphere, support is raised to help spread the charity's mission of "Changing the World, One Pair at a Time." These videos have raised over $80,000 for the charity and can still be viewed on the website at www.50Kshoes.com.
