ActionCOACH Mark Carn Shortlisted for Franchise Award
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- ActionCOACH Business Coach Mark Carn has been shortlisted for the Single-Unit Franchisee of the Year (Under 2 staff) by the Franchise Council of Australia.
When Mark began his working life in a bank he had no idea he would ever be shortlisted for the single-unit franchisee of the year.
In those days, he was focused on working and studying accountancy before going on to work for local government in his home state of South Australia.
Not long after, Mark took a step sideways and spent seven years in hospitality, running a motel complex. One day, serendipitously, he found himself helping out some friends and advising them about their own motel business. It was at this point that Mark discovered he had a passion for helping other business owners "grow their business."
His background in accounting and business development had finally come to the fore.
Mark has been with ActionCOACH for over 5 years now. He currently works with clients in the mechanical, building, retail and service industries in Adelaide and surrounding areas. He firmly believes in promoting greater success and greater returns, and his background has helped him to give clients the focused advice they need.
Mark says his greatest reward is "helping people improve their business and their lives."
For Mark, however, it is not just about business – it is about the whole person and even whole communities.
"If my clients' business is working for them, they are happier, experience less stress and this flows through to their relationships and wellbeing," he says.
Mark is a coach very much focused on personal development; he knows from experience that running a business has follow-on effects and these can be negative or positive. Mark actively seeks to see his clients increase profits, build better teams, free up time, reach new energy levels and be in control of their future.
Recently one of Mark's service industry clients was in a quandary and badly needed to improve his work/life balance. So Mark helped him buy out his partner, purchase his first investment property and start researching other business opportunities. The client was then able to spend more time with his young family and take up his much-missed golf again.
Of course, Mark recognizes that for some, it is about financial benefits. too.
A commercial building trade client recently increased net profit by a stunning $AUD75,000 with a single strategy. Others increased profits by over 48%, or their income by over 15%, in the first year after Mark started coaching them.
Mark conducts regular workshops, breakfast forums and presentations, for existing and potential clients which, he stresses, are all complimentary. They are part and parcel of Mark's insistence that as a coach he should "pass on value."
Clients have said that these events provide them with valuable networking opportunities as well as new business.
Mark is modest about his shortlisting as "the best of the best" by the Franchise Council of Australia.
"This a great reward for me and ActionCOACH as it indicates that our work in the community is recognized," he says.
