Acision and Blacc Spot Media Inc. join forces to create richer, compelling communication experiences for enterprises and consumers
CES, LAS VEGAS, January 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Acision and Blacc Spot Media showcase innovative "click-to-communicate" banking kiosk application at CES 2015 - the most interactive way to engage with customers
Acision, a global leader in secure, mobile messaging services and innovator in Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC), is proud to announce its partnership with Blacc Spot Media, Inc., a leading WebRTC, Mobile and Web Application Development House. By combining Blacc Spot Media's innovation in creating cutting-edge applications, with Acision's innovation in web and mobile engagement technology both companies can deliver next-generation communication solutions for consumers and enterprises, built using Acision's forge SDK, part of the forge by Acision platform.
As pioneers in WebRTC, the collaboration provides joint expertise in building innovative solutions which help enterprises rapidly prototype and deploy commercial-grade, engagement applications that meet the needs of their stakeholders, while providing a great user experience. Blacc Spot Media's first project with Acision is to build a banking prototype, showcasing how a customer can connect directly to an available customer service representative or agent via a kiosk/tablet application in the simulated banking environment.
The Acision/Blacc Spot Media demonstration highlights a scenario, where a customer needs support while browsing a banking website or application via a kiosk/tablet. By clicking the "Live Help Now" button, the customer is presented with a list of available agents and their agent pin number. To start a live chat session, the customer simply clicks on the agent's "Live Help Now" button and connects directly with an agent who can solve their needs. The added bonus of providing a pin is that when the customer goes back to browsing there will be the option to connect directly to the agent again, with the pin acting as a phone number extension. This enhances the user experience as the customer can speak to the same agent who already understands their requirements. Additionally, if a customer has a prescheduled meeting with an agent, they can connect right away via the application.
This platform will be demoed for the first time at Showstoppers during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, on the 6th January, and is just a teaser of what the forge SDK can do…to find out more or receive a live demo, get in touch to meet with us at CES 2015, 6th - 9th January, or meet us on the Acision stand in Hall 8.1, during Mobile World Congress 2015, 2nd - 5th March.
Lantre Barr, Founder and CEO at Blacc Spot Media, said: "WebRTC allows us to build innovative solutions that enable companies to establish more effective two-way communication with their end-customers. One area of opportunity is in the banking sector, which is already leading the way in enriched communications with new video banking services that allow customers to see and talk with advisers over their mobile device without needing to visit a branch. By working with Acision, which provides secure messaging solutions to prominent financial services providers across Europe, together we can demonstrate the true value of "click-to-communicate" video, voice and chat, which can be relevant to many key vertical sectors, not just banks. For example, via a kiosk or a mobile phone, customers have the option to speak to a real person in one click, with specialist having prior knowledge of their enquiry, enhancing the overall customer experience."
"Acision's business is about empowering enterprises to better connect to customers and serve their needs. With our forge SDK, we can enrich web and mobile applications by enabling an unparalleled direct interaction experience, where a user can get answers to queries immediately, reducing queuing to speak to a call centre agent or waiting for an email response," added, Eric Bilange, Head of Rich Engagement Services at Acision. "Furthermore, for customers today, particularly those dealing with their bank or making a transaction, security is of critical importance and Acision's secure messaging solutions and expertise can enable user validation through multi-factor authentication or one-time password log-in. Together with Blacc Spot Media, who are as passionate about WebRTC as us, we can really prove the breadth of opportunities in rich communication and demonstrate how enterprises can take advantage of this to change the state of play in customer engagement."
To strengthen its drive, Acision's relationship with Blacc Spot Media is announced the same week as Acision launches its first online enriched communication (WebRTC) app challenge - "forgeathon", where developers are invited to either create a new Android, iOS or web app or service, or enhance an existing one. By leveraging Acision's rich communication toolkit, developers can bring their application ideas to life. "Our aim is to spread the word about the possibilities with WebRTC technology, and build a community of developers that create WebRTC based apps," continued Bilange.
Blacc Spot Media works with a wide range of clients from start-ups to mid and large size companies, creating compelling experiences by utilising WebRTC, bringing visions to life and taking big ideas through to creation. Barr concluded: "In an effort to evolve the capability of WebRTC and its ecosystem to support projected growth, Blacc Spot Media is also launching its own WebRTC Challenge (http://webrtcchallenge.com) to educate the web and mobile development community about the benefits and availabilities of WebRTC. Blacc Spot Media has set a goal to reach 1M developers with the new initiative. Acision is seen as a great partner to support this, particularly given its global footprint, and DNA towards innovation in communication."
