Analyst Update: Scheduled Earnings, New Contracts, and Rig Count Reports

The Wall Street witnessed fourth consecutive session of gains on Thursday as the European Central Bank (ECB) announced its much-anticipated bond-buying program aimed at reviving the Euro zone economy. The ECB announced that it will buy €60 million worth of bonds every month in a program which will last through September 2016. Cheering the ECB's move, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite indices closed the day up 1.53% and 1.78%, respectively, and also turned positive for the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the session higher by 1.48%. Shares in Europe also continued the rally on Thursday, posting the biggest six-day gain in over three years. The Stoxx Europe 600 index jumped 1.7% to close at its highest level in over seven years. In Asia, markets mostly ended flat as investors awaited the outcome of the ECB meeting.
Atlantic Power Corporation (Atlantic Power) to release its Q4 2014 and full-year 2014 results on February 26, 2015 after market closes. The Company has scheduled a conference call on the following day, February 27, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. ET to discuss the quarter and full year performances.
Atwood Oceanics, Inc. (Atwood), a leading offshore drilling contractor, announced that one of its subsidiaries has entered into an agreement to provide drilling services with the jackup rig Atwood Mako. The contract will be performed in Southeast Asia at an operating day rate of $155,000 for a minimum term of 70 days.
Babcock & Wilcox Company (Babcock & Wilcox) announced that a consortium which includes its Denmark-based subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Vølund A/S (B&W Vølund), was awarded a $230 million contract by Viridor UK to engineer, procure and construct a waste-to-energy (WTE) power plant near Dunbar, Scotland.
Baker Hughes Incorporated (Baker Hughes) announced its December 2014 rig count and fourth quarter 2014 well count numbers. While the average U.S. rig count for December 2014 was 1,882, up 111 from the 1,771 counted in December 2013, International rig count declined from the 1,335 count in December 2013 to 1,313 in December 2014.
Basic Energy Services, Inc. (Basic Energy Services) to release its Q4 2014 and full-year 2014 results on February 19, 2015 after market closes. The Company has scheduled a conference call on the next day, February 20, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. ET to discuss the results.
