The LM-16-4x1000W 4,000 watt metal halide light tower from Larson Electronics' LarsonElectronicsLLC.com provides the powerful light output and easy setup operators need for illuminating large areas quickly and safely. This light tower is constructed of heavy gauge square steel tubing with a lower section 9 feet 6 inches in length and 4 inches in diameter and an upper section 7 feet 6 inches in length and 3 inches in diameter for high strength, and is fitted with a 12 inch square, 1/2 inch thick mounting base-plate for secure installation on trailers or permanent mounting platforms. This tower is very durable and stable and is capable of withstanding winds up to 125 mph when extended to 10 feet in height. The tower is deployed using two integral 1,000 pound hand winches. The first winch allows the operator to raise the tower into the upright position, and a second winch allows the operator to extend the tower to any height between 10 feet or the maximum 18 feet 5 inches. For transport, operators simply lower the extended boom and then lay the tower down horizontally and lock it into place. This tower is fitted with four metal halide lamps of 1,000 watts each that are wet area rated for protection from the elements wet conditions. These lamps have 19" reflectors for efficient light dispersal, and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens and heavy duty ring locked gasket for high durability and resistance to the damaging effects of the weather. Each lamp produces 100,000 lumens for a combined total of 400,000 lumens capable of illuminating approximately 5 acres effectively. The light output from this tower is of a clean white color with good color rendering and contrasting, making it ideal for work sites where close work is performed and detail is critical. Larson Electronics has fitted these towers with all the necessary wiring and a centrally located ballast box, allowing operators to simply mount the tower and connect to power once the tower is deployed. LarsonElectronicsLLC.com can also outfit these towers with custom light configurations based on the customer's needs and offers a variety of optional high power LED lamps and HID lighting choices. This light tower is ideal for illuminating large scale areas such as construction sites, mining operations, ship yards, open mines, entertainment venues, and just about any outdoor location where powerful and effective illumination is required.
"The LM-16-4x1000W 4,000 watt metal halide light tower can be extended to 18 feet for maximum area coverage and is collapsible to 9 feet for easy storage and transportation," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' LarsonElectronicsLLC.com.
