Zinnov Hosts its Annual Awards, Recognizing Individuals and Organizations who are at the Forefront of the Technology Industry
Zinnov, a leading management consulting firm, hosted its annual thought leadership conference 'Confluence 2015 - Connecting The Dots', in the city recently. The two-day leadership summit saw phenomenal participation from the technology industry with over 500+ MNCs participating and over 3000 attendees. To celebrate the genesis of the next era of networking - human, machine and business, the theme for Confluence this year was "Connecting The Dots - People | Technology | Ecosystem". 3000+ best-in-class talent (managerial and technical) from 500+ MNCs and more than 9 industry verticals attended Zinnov's Annual Summit.

Currently in its 6th year, the Zinnov Awards were instituted with the objective of recognizing and celebrating stalwarts in the technology space. The winners are selected by a panel of jury comprising of eminent senior members from the technology ecosystem. This year, the awards received over 300 nominations from 85 companies across 15 different categories.
The awards aim to inspire the overall R&D community to work towards greater innovation, increased collaboration, and building products and solutions that solve large scale problems. The jury members for the awards included senior stakeholders from Ericsson, PayPal, HP, IIM-C, Target, Intuit, Ebay etc.
Award Categories and Winners
Category 1: Technical Role Model - External Jury and Nomination Based
This category was an individual contributor award that recognized technology stalwarts who have served by example and inspired individuals within their organization and beyond to follow a technical career path.

This category was a company-wide award and recognized organizations that have successfully enabled and sustained global roles from India that are critical for organization's success. It also recognized the impact these roles created.

This category was a company-wide award to recognize those MNC R&D centers that have successfully managed attrition and other HR challenges. The assessment criteria apart from the attrition numbers also looked at proactive measures taken by organizations to understand their employees' needs as well as innovative practices introduced to develop and retain people.

This was a company-wide award and recognized organizations that successfully promoted gender diversity through policies and programs.

This category of award was a company-wide award and aimed to recognize MNC R&D centers that were able to create inclusion, sustainability and a positive impact on the communities, cultures, societies and environments in which they operate.

A. Universities
This category recognized MNC R&D centers that have contributed significantly to the development of the University R&D Ecosystem in India. The assessment criteria focused on the depth, scale and quality of interaction with Tier-1 and Tier-2 universities in India

This award recognized MNC R&D centers that have effectively leveraged Service Providers in a true partnership model to address a market need. The deliberation process was based on the nature and breadth of partnerships, duration, depth of collaboration and the successful impact created as a result of the same.

This category of award recognized those MNC R&D centers that have reached out to a large number of startups and have successfully evangelized, mentored and partnered with them to establish platforms or to fill product portfolio gaps or foster new technology innovation.

This category was a company-wide award to recognize startups that are at the forefront of developing exciting and new products & services, aligned their business model to address existing and prospective market requirements and have used technology to help drive innovation.

This was a company-wide award to recognize best-in-class, in product design. The award looked at teams who have been able to solve a specific complex problem for a customer and as a result, created a significant business impact.

Category 9: Most Successful Enterprise Digital Transformation
This category was a company-wide award to recognize companies that have been able to successfully leverage new age technologies and transform digitally and impact the business as a result of the transformation.

Category 10: Innovation - Potential to Solve Large Problems
This award recognized those organizations that have successfully solved or are in the process of solving large problems that will have a significant impact on society. These problems being addressed can be restricted to developed markets or emerging markets but should have been addressed in the last (12 - 18 months) with the India Center playing a significant role in the initiative

This category recognized those MNC R&D centers that are focused on innovation and have made concerted efforts across five key enablement areas which are charter, culture, conditions, process and metrics. The assessment criteria focused on how conducive the environment is for innovation and also measured the pervasiveness.

This category was a company-wide award and recognized those organizations that have built operational ability and organizational capability to successfully create a customer centric culture internally and created a positive customer experience externally.

Category 13: Tech Game Maker Award
For the first time, in keeping with our conference theme of 'Connecting The Dots', Zinnov introduced the Tech Game Maker Award. The technological ecosystem at any stage is defined by the scale of the problem being solved and the technology interplay being used to solve it. The endeavor was to focus on the interplay between hardware and software companies who have created a significant impact in the same. The Tech Game Maker Award is an effort to recognize companies, for successfully leading multiple initiatives in this area to solve large problems.
