XCMG Enters KHL Top 10 Ranking of Largest Construction Equipment Manufacturers
XUZHOU, China, July 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- XCMG, China's largest construction equipment manufacturer, has entered the Top 10 in the latest Yellow Table, a ranking of the world's 50 largest construction equipment manufacturers compiled by the KHL Group, the leading global supplier of international construction information. The Yellow Table in the 2015 issue of International Construction estimated XCMG's 2014 construction equipment sales revenue at USD 6.15 billion, a 3.9% share of total global sales.
"XCMG has risen three places, an outstanding performance that reflects our extensive R&D input and technical strength. Our R&D strategy is to develop products that are internationally competitive and improve our disruptive innovation capacity." said Wang Min, XCMG's president.
Thanks to its generous R&D spending, XCMG has made progress with its innovation system, its global collaborative development platform and its high-end talent team.
XGC88000, with a maximum lifting moment of 88,000 tons/meter and a maximum lifting capacity of 4,500 tons, is the largest crawler crane in the world, and is a perfect example of XCMG's R&D achievements in large tonnage crawler crane.
This 4,000-tonage crawler crane embodies XCMG's latest R&D technology. The crawler weight balance system greatly improves the product's working ground adaptability; the four-winch synchronous control system makes it safe and intelligent; three different lifting ranges allow it to adjust different operation conditions; and the modular and integrated design realizes multiple combinations and improves the product's utilization rate.
The development of XGC88000 leads the way in China's construction equipment industry, marking a milestone for global crawler crane technology.
Technological breakthroughs can also be seen in XCMG's large elevating platform fire trucks, like DG100 and DG88. These 100m-high elevating fire trucks have achieved international state of the art levels in terms of performance and adaptability in extreme environments.
"Our goals in R&D input are to foster a culture of innovation at XCMG and influence the Chinese construction equipment industry," said Wang Min. "This is the only way we can maintain our strong sales revenue momentum in challenging market conditions and grow into a real innovative enterprise."
Committed to construction machinery manufacture, in the future XCMG plans to add new production lines including sanitation equipment, mining machinery, port machinery and agricultural machinery to meet client's changing needs and continue technological innovation on current products.
