The session was attended by distinguished guests like Apirat Sugondhabhirom, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy, Mr Kush Kapoor, the Area General Manager of Roseate Hotels and Resorts, Mr Samrat Datta, the General Manager of Taj Diplomatic Enclave along with his wife Jennifer, Mr Namit Kharbanda, Director HR Andaz, Paul Walsh MBE- former British diplomat, celebrity Chef Shaun Kenworthy, Mr Namit Agnihotri, General Manager, Roseate Resort and Dr Suborno Bose, the Chairman and Chief Mentor of IIHM, among others.

Liam took the connoisseurs through tasting some of the smoothest homemade wines of India like the Sauvignon Blanc in white wine and Cabernet Merlot in red wines. The wines were accompanied by appropriate vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers.
This was an opportunity for Liam Steevenson to introduce his own flagship wine from York Winery, named YAATRA. The brand is the first of its kind in India prepared by an India winery in collaboration with a Master of Wine.
"The wine tasting event was an enriching experience, tasting the wine produced by York Wineries in collaboration with Master of Wine, Liam Steevenson. It is the first such initiative in the country when a winery had developed a special brand in collaboration with an MW. IIHM supports and encourages such efforts. We do organise wine making classes for students at IIHM with guest lectures by winemakers from around the world. Such initiatives inspire students of IIHM to pursue studies in Winemaking and we all hope to see Winemakers and MWs from among them in future," said Dr Suborno Bose, Chief Mentor and Chairman IIHM Hotel School.
"Roseate Hotels & Resorts, feels privileged to have hosted the prestigious wine dinner conducted by Master of Wine - Liam Steevenson. Our association with IIHM, who share our brand philosophy, is geared at nurturing and creating success stories for all future budding hoteliers," said Mr Kush Kapoor, Area General Manager, Roseate Hotels and Resorts.
About Liam Steevenson MW:
Liam Steevenson is Master of Wine who features among the 369 Masters of the World. He became the youngest Master of Wine way back in 2004 when he was only 27 years old. He continued to win the Waitrose Scholarship and Villa Maria Viticultural prize. He heads Global Wine Solutions in the UK https://globalwinesolutions.com/theteam/ that provides consultation about wine-making to vineyards from around the world. His work with York has been an enriching experience. "Creating wine in this country of unmatched beauty is like a step into the unknown - a voyage of discovery, struggle and ultimate joy. Nashik, from where this oak-aged Syrah comes, is not new to exploration and discovery. Its temples have been a destination of pilgrims for thousands of years, for as long as the locals have been burning charcoal outside their homes. India transports your mind, body and soul to the ultimate 'YAATRA', from where I derived the name of my new wine," said Liam. "Most of what I do in India is closely connected to International Institute of Hotel Management. I continually work with them to ensure that their education programme is full and delivers world class wine courses to the students and professionals of the industry. I was pleased to teach the students the first Master of Wine led WSET Level 3 Course to students in Delhi," added Liam.
