As Voith Hydro in India completed another year of its successful operations in India, it has appointed new members on the board of management: Mr. Ravi Kalra, former Head of Small Hydro at Voith Hydro India, has succeeded Mr. Amresh Dhawan as Managing Director.
Moreover, Voith Hydro has appointed Mr. Sumeet Mazumdar and Mr. Sanjive Kumar as new members of Executive Board of Management of Voith Hydro Pvt. Ltd. These changes are in effect since October 1, 2014.
Before his appointment, Sumeet Mazumdar was responsible for projects and field service at Voith Hydro, Sanjive Kumar was in charge of administration, controlling and commercial operations. Mr. Amresh Dhawan has taken over a new role on the Advisory Board of Management of Voith Hydro in India, where he will continue to contribute to the development of the company.
As per statement of the global management of the company, India will retain the important status for local manufacturing and keep up to serve the Indian and other South East Asian markets.
The company was particularly successful in establishing its footprints in Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Nigeria in the last year of operation. The Voith manufacturing facility at Vadodara, India, assembles turbines not only for the domestic markets but also for global markets including other Voith subsidiaries worldwide.
