Uniphore Completes 10 Years of Leadership in Speech/Voice Recognition Technology

On the eve of successful completion of 10 years since its incubation, Uniphore Software Systems (Uniphore), the leader in voice/speech recognition-based technology solutions, announced its global expansion plans and foray into the United States of America, the largest potential market for its solutions.
Incubated at IIT Madras in 2008, Uniphore was founded by Umesh Sachdev and Ravi Saraogi with a vision to unleash the power of speech and help bridge the digital divide, globally. The company offers three products based on speech recognition which includes its flagship offering auMina, which is a speech analytics product; Akeira, that provides voice-based virtual assistance; and amVoice, which reduces possibilities of human error by using voice biometrics. The company has already established its leadership in India and is growing at a rapid pace in South East Asian market.

According to a study conducted in 2017 by Opus Research (commissioned by Uniphore), organizations globally are looking at implementing speech technologies to provide superior customer experience and improve business performance. Globally, 53% of the respondents said they have deployed speech analytics for 'Workforce Optimization' while 50% for 'Discovering the root cause of customer experience failures', and 49% for 'Quick identification of customer intent'. In India, the primary driver to deploy speech analytics in the business is 'Increasing Sales and Collections'.
