Underprivileged Kids of Thane Find a New Ray of Hope Through Grand Maratha Foundation and Yuva Sena

Grand Maratha Foundation, a non-governmental organization, catering to the needs of farmers and their families in Maharashtra, distributed books to underprivileged children of Thane on Thursday, 20th June, 2019. Led by the vision of Mr. Rohit Shelatkar, the event was graced by his mother, Mrs. Madhavi Shelatkar and also by Mr. Rajesh Tawade. While most have the privilege to start off with a new notebook, the rest of the country's deprived children lack basic stationery to go on with everyday life. Through this initiative, 500 underprivileged children were benefited.
The event was jointly organized by Mr. Mitesh Deshmukh, his father, Mr. Prabhakar Deshmukh, and Grand Maratha Foundation. The stage was shared by various delegates including the Mayor of Thane City, Mrs. Meenakshi Shinde; TMC Speaker Mr. Naresh Mhaske and Thane City Corporator, Mrs. Nandini Vichare and Mr. Rajesh More. This was made possible with the help of Mr. Rajan Vichare, Mr. Ravindra Phatak, Mr. Eknath Shinde and under the guidance of other eminent personalities.
Grand Maratha Foundation aims to provide comprehensive solutions to farmers and their families by creating a better livelihood for them and break this vicious circle of debt and poverty. The Foundation is active in the regions of Akola, Amravati, Yavatmal, Chandrapur and Nagpur in Maharashtra providing to all round development of farmers and their families.
