UBM India today announced the launch of Cloud Advantage Awards to be held on June 12th, 2013 at Cloud Connect India 2013.

Cloud has already changed both business and everyday life - from consumers who perhaps unknowingly use it to access their favourite music to companies that purposely harness its powerful resources. While much activity and buzz relating to cloud involves its technological capabilities, the benefits of cloud adoption actually extend into the business realm.
To recognize the business innovators who have embraced cloud adoption to drive their business model, UBM India today announced the launch of Cloud Advantage Awards. The awards will be held on June 12th, 2013 at Cloud Connect India 2013. Cloud Connect India is the premier technology event for cloud computing organized by UBM India. UBM India hosts several prestigious awards such as The Global CIO, The Future Strategist and The EDGE.
"The global cloud market is expected to double to $60 billion in the next five years; 4 percent of this will come from India. India's top 100 companies have already deployed their own cloud environments. While many large enterprises are opting for private or hybrid clouds, we are seeing faster adoption of cloud services among the small and medium enterprises, in India. Thousands of start-ups are already building cloud applications and services. The Cloud Advantage Awards 2013 will be a unique initiative that will honor the best implementations in cloud computing across industries in India. The awards will have 10 categories for large enterprises and SMEs. Only user organizations are eligible to apply for these awards. The award is not extended to vendors, solutions/service providers. Finalists and winners of these awards will be picked by a team of editors from UBM India and an external jury. The felicitation will take place at a gala awards night at the Cloud Connect India 2013 in Mumbai on 12th June, 2013.
