thinKitchen appoints Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia as Non-Executive Director as it sets its sights on scale in the Indian premium kitchenware space
MUMBAI, India, Aug. 19, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- thinKitchen, the premium kitchenware and homeware retailer, and part of the Seeba Group of Companies, has announced the appointment of entrepreneur Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia to its Board of Directors.
The announcement signals the start of an ambitious journey for the company as it eyes long-term expansion in the coming years. It is seeking to capitalise on the interest in premium kitchenware in India, as well as increasing demand in fine-home dining and the popularity of open-plan kitchens. The company also plans to cater to the growing premium hospitality segment.
Seeba | thinKitchen has established itself as a leading manufacturer for international brands and exclusive distributor for many premium kitchenware and homeware brands, including Denby, Burleigh, Richardson Sheffield, and Brabantia in India.
Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia is an internationally recognised entrepreneur, best known for founding Euro Car Parts. Ahluwalia subsequently went on to found real estate developer Dominvs Group, where he currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman.
The news also follows fast on the heels of Ahluwalia's recent appointment as Non-Executive Chairman of Principle India, the global brand and implementation consultancy. Ahluwalia is preparing to return to India in the coming years.
