Surat diamond baron Shree Govind Dholakia, Founder of SRK Exports, who has had a formal education till class 6 is an ardent devotee of learning and education. His heart and memories still lies with his school at Lathi, in Amreli district of Gujarat. Shree Dholakia owes a lot to his school and has been the grand promoter of development and reconstruction of the entire school.

In 2016, in the month of 'Shravan', Bhumi Pujan was done by Shree Govind Dholakia, who inaugurated two new schools- Ramkrishna Vidya Mandir Jiviba Kanya Vidhalaya and Shivam Vidhayala on 13th August 2017. The event comprised of a huge convention of alumni of the school and they showered their love by contributing Rs. 6 crores for reconstruction of the school. 16 classes for the two schools and 70 classes for the girls' school, total 86 classes were built.
On this special occasion, Shree Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, State Cabinet Minister of Education and Shree Nanubhai Vanani, Minister of State Education and Water Resources, were invited as the Chief Guests. The donors were honoured in the presence of august gathering. The program began by lightening the lamp by Chief Guests and other dignitaries. Shree Bhupendrasinh Chudasama appreciated the work done in the areas of education and water irrigation at Lathi Taluka.
"As a house is based on the strength of its foundation likewise primary education plays an important role. To enhance one's confidence and to escape from negativity, Education is a must," said Shree Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, at the event. He added, "Those people who migrated from the village due to scarcity of water, have converted the challenge into opportunity and have paid back to their beloved native."
Shree Nanubhai Vanani, Minister of State Education and Water Resources, congratulated the donors saying, "It is great to see that the dream of erstwhile students paying back to the school and to their native place has been realised." Further, he cited the brilliant example of work done by Dholakia Family at Dudhala in Lathi.
The great philanthropist Shree Govind Dholakia said this auspicious work has been done with God's will. He always keeps positive attitude while building constructive projects. It was focused efforts and excellent planning of Shree Dholakia to complete the project in short duration. The school is set to develop many social and corporate leaders of the country in future.
