Stratasys Announces Promotion of Omer Krieger to General Manager of Stratasys Asia Pacific and Japan
Previous General Manager Jonathan Jaglom Appointed Chief Executive Officer of MakerBot
HONG KONG, Feb. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Stratasys AP Ltd., a subsidiary of Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq:SSYS), a global leader for 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions, today announced that Omer Krieger, Vice President Sales of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), has been promoted to General Manager of Stratasys Asia Pacific and Japan. Mr. Krieger's appointment follows the promotion of Jonathan Jaglom, who previously served in this role, to Chief Executive Officer of MakerBot, a subsidiary of Stratasys, which was announced separately today.
Over the past two years, Mr. Krieger has served as Vice President of Sales, APJ, resulting in deep knowledge of the region and strong customer and partner relationships. Previously, Mr. Krieger served as Product Manager at Stratasys (Objet), managing new product introduction, go-to-market strategies and sales operations. When Objet merged with Stratasys in 2012, Mr. Krieger was appointed Sales Director of APJ. In his new role, Mr. Krieger will report to David Reis, Chief Executive Officer of Stratasys, in his capacity as Chief Business Officer.
"Omer's significant experience, both in the APJ region and in the 3D printing industry in general, makes him the ideal candidate to lead our business in the rapidly growing APJ market," said David Reis, Chief Executive Officer of Stratasys. "Omer is in an excellent position to meet the growing demand and significant potential for expansion of this critical market for Stratasys. We look forward to continuing to provide our customers with the expertise they have come to expect and look forward to working with new partners in the future. "
Jaglom Promoted
As Krieger assumes the General Manager position, outgoing General Manager, Jonathan Jaglom will transition to a new position as CEO of Stratasys' MakerBot operation. Over the last two years, Mr. Jaglom played a pivotal role in expanding Stratasys' business in APJ. "Under Jonathan's leadership, this business has seen tremendous growth, and Stratasys has secured its leadership position in the APJ region," says Mr. Reis. "We are very pleased that Jonathan will be taking a new role at MakerBot, to continue to drive growth and innovation. He has established a strong foundation for Stratasys APJ's future growth."
As Mr. Jaglom transitions to become Chief Executive Officer of MakerBot, Jenny Lawton, who previously held the position, has been promoted to serve as Executive Vice President of Special Projects for Stratasys, reporting to Mr. Reis in his capacity as Chief Business Officer.
