HOUSTON, Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Stewart & Stevenson LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony James Davis as its Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Company's Board of Directors, effective February 1st, 2016.

Mr. Davis has a distinguished record of service in Senior Executive positions and extensive experience in diverse areas of distribution on the global stage which is the Company's core business.
Headquartered in Singapore, Mr. Davis has led the Global Network and Marketing operations of Rolls-Royce Power Systems and serves as its corporate President of the Asia-Pacific Hub. He has also held a series of other positions at Rolls-Royce Marine including Executive Vice President for Business Development, Executive Vice President for Commercial Affairs and previously at Rolls-Royce International as CEO and Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Ansary added: "Mr. Davis will be stationed in Houston, Texas and succeeds Mr. John Simmons who has a background of dedicated service to the Company as Chief Financial Officer and CEO and is now promoted to Vice Chairman for Financial Affairs."
Mr. Davis, 54, has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School at Monterey, California. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Melbourne Business School's Advanced Management Program. He served as Commander in the Royal Australian Navy and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
