The programme is designed for owners, successors, and promoters of family businesses who are the job creators, wealth creators, capability builders and play an important role in driving India's growth story.
'Lead to Transform' puts together a unique teaching experience offering the best of two leading institutes: SPJIMR, the pioneers in family business education in India and Babson College, Massachusetts, a globally acclaimed institute for entrepreneurship education.
The objective of the programme is to prepare family business leaders to drive change and transform their organisations to achieve exponential growth, generational continuity, and build good governance practices. The programme is highly practical as the participants will develop their own roadmap for the future with consultancy guidance from SPJIMR's experienced faculty and experts.
The participants will have a 10-day schedule divided into two modules of five days each. The first batch of 'Lead to Transform' will take off at the end of October with a five-day residential module at the Babson Executive Conference Centre at Wellesley, Massachusetts. This will be followed by a five-day residential module in December in Mumbai. Globally-renowned faculty, industry leaders like Mr. Deepak Parekh and prominent business owners like Mr. Harsh Mariwala will interact with participants closely.
"Lead to Transform is uniquely designed after a considerable research on family businesses. It is going to equip family business owners with tools and techniques to enhance their enterprise value, manage family dynamics and develop a leadership path for the next-gen. It is a one-of-its-kind experience for owner-leaders who are ambitious and progressive," said Dr. Mita Dixit, Programme Head of Lead to Transform at SPJIMR.
Prof. Matt Allen of Babson College said, "This programme brings two concepts - success across generations and entrepreneurship together, so that the participants from Indian family businesses will better understand how to use entrepreneurship to ensure the success of their family businesses for future generations."
