Shell's premium engine oils to be used for BMW service-fills until 2022
Shell Lubricants India recently announced the renewal of its status as BMW's only recommended supplier for aftermarket engine oils in India for a further three years till 2022. The partnership with BMW was first instated in 2015 and the extension till 2022 will mean that premium BMW engine oils manufactured by Shell will continue to be available to customers at BMW's dealer network in India.

The partnership with BMW, renewed in more than 100 markets, is a testament to Shell's commitment to powering progress and enhancing customer experiences through innovation and strategic collaborations. It is also a recognition of Shell's expertise in providing cutting-edge technology for the development and production of engine oils for high specification vehicles.

Shell will supply and manufacture all engine oils for BMW Group brands; BMW, BMW i, BMW M, MINI, BMW Motorrad and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in India. Aligned with the latest engine specifications of BMW, Shell will continue to produce and supply BMW's branded engine oils. These oils will feature Shell's PurePlus Technology, a breakthrough technology where base-oil is produced using a patented process in which natural gas is converted to base oil, commonly known as the gas-to-liquid (GTL) technology.
