Shell India Leads the Way in Clean Fuels by Launching Environment-friendly Rimula R5 Engine Oils

Shell Lubricants, the global market leader in finished lubricants, recently launched the Rimula R5 LE 10W40 and R5 LE 10W30 synthetic engine oils designed for heavy duty trucks in India. Offering enhanced engine protection and excellent oxidation control, the engine oil is developed with superior CK4 technology, in accordance with the latest BS-VI emission norms. Rimula R5 is India's first range of CK4 engine oil that is compatible with both existing vehicles and future ready BS-VI vehicles. Shell believes that this range of high-performance engine oils can contribute significantly to the government's air-pollution control efforts. The lubricants major is the first supplier to develop a product with CK4, the best-in-class technology designed to reduce CO2 emissions for creating a safer and cleaner environment and enabling smooth transition to a low-emission economy.

Energy-efficient transportation is a key tool in battling deteriorating air quality in India. Through a slew of policy measures, such as implementation of emission reduction norms, the government is effectively working towards combatting air-pollution. The Shell Rimula R5 is available in 19 focus cites spread across 12 states: Delhi, Chennai, Namakkal, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Indore, Lucknow, Kanpur, Maiyah, Jalandhar, Ambala, Srinagar, East Singhbum, Ranchi, Raipur & Vadodra. The engine oils are available in 15-liter packs currently.
