Sa-Dhan to Host the National Financial Inclusion Conference 2014 on March 14 in Mumbai

The Conference Will Focus on the Role of SRO, the Need for a Fresh Micro Finance Bill and Advocate the Need for a National Policy on Financial Inclusion
Sa-Dhan, the association of community development finance institutions, will organize the 9th National Financial Inclusion Conference on March 14, 2014 in Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Mumbai. The theme of the conference is "Partnership & Future Growth: Emerging Roles of Microfinance Sector". It will bring together stakeholders from across the sector and deliberate on the need to formulate a National Policy on Financial Inclusion.
The conference will be attended by eminent dignitaries such as Dr. Deepali Pant Joshi, Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India, Smt. Ela Bhatt, Chair Emeritus, Sa-Dhan, Mr. Mukul Jaiswal, MD, Cashpor Micro Credit Ltd., Ms. Bindu Ananth, President, IFMR Trust etc and will focus on addressing the perceived challenges of the microfinance industry. Mr HR Khan, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India will deliver the inaugural session.

The conference spread over the entire day will have 8 panel sessions to discuss different themes such as Bank-MFI linkage, credit information bureaus, fund flow to SHGs and role of technology in microfinance etc. The panelists will be eminent people from different institutions such as Reserve Bank of India, Microfinance Institutions Network, SKS Microfinance, Bandhan, Bank of Maharashtra, ICICI Bank, Cashpor Micro Credit Ltd, Equifax to name a few.
