NEW DELHI, February 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
Reader's Digest magazine, which has been published in India since 1954, will now be available in Web, iPad and Android versions. Starting with its February 2012 issue, Reader's Digest - which has for well over a decade been India's largest-selling magazine in English - will be available through Magzter. It will be available on all digital formats: i-Tunes, Web as well as Android markets.
From this month onwards readers can enjoy the wide range of articles in each issue digitally as well. The new digital Reader's Digest looks crystal-clear on the high-resolution screen of an Android tablet/phone or iPad. The digital version fully replicates the printed version, which already sells over 5 lakh copies in India every month. Over the coming months, the editors plan to enhance the digital format with additional content such as video and interactive quizzes, besides digital-only photographs, slide shows, and video interviews.
The digital edition will be available for $1.99 for a single copy and $11.99 for a year's subscription. There shall be many more attractive offers from time to time to propel the iconic magazine into becoming one of India's leading digital publications.
Founded in 1922 by DeWitt and Lila Wallace, Reader's Digest is the best-read magazine in the world, with 50 editions in 45 countries and 20 languages and a combined readership of 70 million. Its Indian edition is published by the India Today Group.
