The August round of the national mathematics contest - Clash of Pi, conducted by piCirql was held last weekend (August 18th-19th, 2018).

DPS Gurgaon topped the schools leaderboard for the fifth time in a row, as the competition heats up on Clash of Pi. The August Round of the national mathematics contest had more than a lakh students from approximately 600 schools spread across India.
Utpal Shanghvi Global School (Juhu) in Mumbai emerged as the leader among schools in the West Zone. In the East Zone, DPS Ruby Park from Calcutta stood out amongst the competition while P.S. Senior Secondary School from Chennai took the top spot among schools in the South Zone.
With another four rounds to go in the series, the competition promises to get more intense in the coming months. Clash of Pi conducted for students of grades 6 to 10, is revolutionizing mathematics learning, providing a platform for students to compete nationally, benchmark their performance, practice regularly and thereby learn mathematics. Flipping the learning process on its head, the platform allows students to learn through competition.
Mamta Varma, HOD for Mathematics at the school loves the fact that her students have begun to show a keen desire in learning mathematics. The geographic spread and online format of the contest enables students not just from metro centers, but also from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to experience real-time testing and competition on a national scale.
