Mr. Thomas, who has a 25 year career in the medical device and life sciences industry, holds a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, will address multiple tissue bio-implants that allow for rapid healing. These include LifeNet Health's DermACELL® advanced Acellular Dermal Matrix (ADM) that can be used in breast reconstruction surgeries, as well as in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers and chronic non-healing wounds. These lifesaving and life-enhancing bio-implants are processed utilizing MATRACELL® and PRESERVON®, two of LifeNet Health's patented and proprietary technologies. MATRACELL renders these implants acellular, without compromising their biomechanical or biochemical properties, while PRESERVON allows them to be stored at room temperature and ready to use out of the packaging.
"Globally, there is a growing critical need for advanced allograft bio-implants," said LifeNet Health's CEO, Rony Thomas. "As an organization driven by innovation and grounded by mission, we believe our state-of-the-art technologies and products can not only lead to improved outcomes for patients with a variety of injuries and disease states, and can reduce costs to the healthcare system globally."
