With the completion of 200 days, it is still ruling the screens, and is already on its way to breaking the records related to longevity of the film's run in cinemas. MSG-2 continues its run in screens across the country. Be it down South, in states like Telangana, where the movie holds the maximum record of a week's run in cinemas. Four houseful shows of MSG-2 shows are being screened in Telangana on its 27th week, that too in Telugu, with close to 650 shows being screened till date. Ten shows being screened in Haryana, likewise in Punjab, and in UP a total of 100 plus shows are still running countrywide.

MSG-2 has managed to achieve some unusual feats, with an unprecedented deluge of houseful shows that were being screened even after 70 days, since its release. These include 126 houseful shows which were screened in Delhi on 14th October roughly one month after its release on 18th Sep, 777 shows in Rajasthan on 6th Nov, 707 Shows in Punjab and 468 in UP, adding up to thousands of houseful shows. MSG-2 was screened in 127 screens in 22 cities in Haryana, registering more than 1000 shows in a day on 10th Nov, after 8 weeks of its release and 1850 shows in just 2 days in Punjab on 23rd and 24th Nov.
Social media has been abuzz too, with MSG-2 The Messenger's impressive records. In 200 days, MSG-2 has garnered more than 20 million tweets on Twitter for roughly 70 hashtags, and some hashtags have trended for close to 36 hours. #200DaysMSG2 has been in trends since it was initiated in the morning today. That is surely impressive.
Overseas in countries like Australia, USA, Canada, UAE, Italy etc, the film has been widely appreciated not just by the Indian diaspora but also by foreign audiences.
On the occasion, Ajay Dhamija, the official spokesperson of Hakikat Entertainment added that, "The impact of Guruji's films has not only seen men marrying prostitutes, hoteliers shutting down bars on a larger scale, but it has also erupted into an unprecedented movement with huge numbers of Panchayats turning up at Guruji's events promising to shut down liquor vends. The number of persons quitting drugs and alcohol at Guruji's free 'Meditation and De-Addiction camps' has also gone up manifold."
MSG-2 has also crossed 505 crore at the box office, ushering celebrations for the makers of the film. In today's times when a film's success is measured by its collection, as the films can no longer sustain for longer period in cinemas. MSG-2 is an exception, beating its counterparts on every front be it entertainment or meaning.
