The award was presented at the ITsAP Awards held in Hyderabad, India on Dec. 11, 2013.

Microsemi won the award for its corporate social responsibility initiatives with the unique programs it developed for the Oral School for Deaf located in West Marredpally, Hyderabad and Malkaram Mandal Zilla Parishath High School located in Malkaram, Shamirpet Mandal in Rangareddi District of Andhra Pradesh State. Through the company's CSR committee, the programs consisted of periodic visits to each school to engage with students, as well as providing financial support for developing infrastructure and sponsoring the students' education for the school year. Additionally, Microsemi employees' financial contributions were matched by management to further the reach of each program.
